Im going to be 27wks pregnant and have a planned trip im second guessing if it should go? opinons urgent?
this trip is from Boston to Texas after Texas California will be 29wks on my way back. I am concerned about two issues fly during pregnancy'm not a big fan of air travel as it is, on the other hand is that media keeps scaring me about the risks of H1N1 influenza in pregnant women and how in airplanes, buses, trains the air you breathe the same air is shared with all these people for hours. I've had this trip planned since July, but now its around the corner and I'm starting to doubt it. My doctor told me I could travel the last time we talked, but I have one more appointment before the trip, and I do not want to get the flu shot because I do not want any harm to the baby. please help and they would wish to go or not in my situation? and why
A flu shot is a good thing because during pregnancy the baby can not get until they are 6 months old – you get it then they are somehow protected her in her youth … but talk to your doctor about it. Travel should be adequate to its stage. If your dr gives the approval you are good to go. Trust your dr – do not tell you to do something that could harm you or your baby. In short – I would and I would get a regular flu vaccine. Flu shots I take a few days actually present on your system. Gl – go and have fun!
