How I can become an aeronautical engineer?
I am interested in predator drones and stuff. I want to design airplanes and Missles that the U.S. military can be used in the fight against our enemies. I work for the military but I will not be military, I guess as a contractor or something. I'll be a sophemore in high school next school year, I already took Algebra 1 and Geometry next year I will be in an Algebra 2 class. Also I have basic knowledge in the aircraft, my dad was an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force (I think it was a team leader who is like the equivalent of a master mechanic). I also know that engineers must have knowledge of computers is pretty good, and that's pretty much everybody in my generation. So I would like know what I would do to be an aeronautical engineer. What classes should I take in high school? What should I get college degrees? What would be a good college to go to aeronautics? What should I do now to prepare for this race?
You can always get a degree engineering and then worked for companies such as Northrop Grumman, Aerojet, etc. or join the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers if they want to join the military. In addition, have good computer skills can mean many things. If possible, learn some programming. C, C + + or MATLAB is very useful, especially if you go for electronics. For general engineering, you need to know calculus and physics, so take in high school, if possible to save some time. Having a good mathematics and physics is the fundamental basis for understanding the more advanced classes. You can always go to Princeton Review website and review its list of engineering more schools. My recommendation for Georgia Tech aeronautics and Cal Tech Georgia Tech is in the AE schools top ten and has one of the airports employed in the world next to him (Atlanta) and is also very affordable compared to other schools. Cal Tech is one of the best engineering schools in the U.S. houses and Jet Propulsion Labs NASA Research The problem is that only admit to about 250 freshmen each year and is very expensive.
