ELS Air Force / RE Code 2C – Want to join the Navy?
About 6 years ago, my boyfriend went to the Air Force. About three days before Basic entering, it was decided that smoking marijuana once again. For some stupid reason, thought he could get away with it. About a week or two on which has an ELS with an RE Code 2C for not passing the drug test, but on his release documents said it was for fraudulent entry. Since then, consumption has left drug for about three years and obtained a bachelor's Associates for aircraft and power plant mechanic. Now he has realized that he really wants to serve his country in the Navy, but we're not sure if you are eligible to enlist in the Navy. Any help would be great. Thank you!
I say both. If your discharge papers have any negative reason he was expelled from the army, most likely will not get to join the Navy. But that does not mean giving it up. Them allow exemptions all the time and if he can demonstrate that it has changed then maybe. Your best bet is to talk openly with a recruiter, one that you feel comfortable. Of course the Most people think they are all liars and say things just to get in, but they are classified in the quality of the people who put through as well.
